Getting started
What does EbookMit actually produce?
A complete book: an editable outline, every chapter written, illustrations drawn in one consistent style, a front, back and spine cover, and the files you upload to sell it.
You get a KDP print-ready interior PDF (6×9, 8.5×11 or 8.5×8.5 inches, with bleed when images reach the edge), a full cover PDF with the spine width calculated from the page count and paper, an EPUB 3 checked with EPUBCheck, a screen PDF and an editable Word file.
Which kinds of books can I make?
Four types: lead magnets (10–30 pages), non-fiction books for Amazon KDP (30–120 pages), children's illustrated books (16–40 pages) and workbooks or printables such as planners, journals and worksheets.
Books are written in English by default, and you can choose another language for the content when you create the book.
Can I try it without signing up?
Yes. “Try the demo” opens a private demo account in one click, with sample books already written so you can read them as page spreads, edit them and try generation with a small credit allowance. Demo accounts are deleted every day at midnight UTC.
When you create a free account you receive 20 welcome credits once you confirm your email.
How does topic discovery find ideas that sell?
You enter a seed keyword. The AI suggests niches and angles, and each idea is then measured where you have data sources switched on: the number of active Etsy listings and their favourites (Etsy Open API), and search interest over the last 12 months plus rising related searches (Google Trends through SerpApi).
Every number is labelled: measured (straight from the source, with the raw response one click away), derived (computed from measured numbers) or AI estimate. Nothing is presented as data when it is a guess.
Books and quality
Is the writing any good?
Each chapter is written with the outline, the previous chapters and your notes in front of the model, then reviewed by a second AI editor against the book's rules: length, reading level, tone, repetition and originality. Sections that fail the review are rewritten before you see them.
You stay the editor: change any sentence, rewrite one section with your own instructions, regenerate a single illustration or reorder chapters without redoing the whole book. Every version is kept and can be restored.
Will the illustrations look like the same book?
Yes. Each book gets a fixed style definition (medium, palette and a style prompt) that is added to every image. Children's books also get a character sheet, and a character reference image is passed to the image model so the same characters appear on every page.
Is the content original?
The prompts forbid copying existing books, and the listings found during topic discovery are only used as demand signals, never as text to reuse. Every chapter is also checked for repetition against the rest of the book.
You are the publisher, so read the book before you sell it and check facts, especially for health, legal or financial topics.
Publishing
Do I have to tell Amazon the book was made with AI?
Yes. Amazon KDP asks you to disclose AI-generated text, images or translations when you publish or republish a book, even if you edited them afterwards. The Export screen explains what to answer and links to KDP's content guidelines.
Can I sell the files on Etsy?
Etsy allows digital products made with AI tools when you are the one directing the design, and asks sellers to say in the listing that AI was used. Policies change, so the Export screen links to Etsy's current Creativity Standards; read them before you list.
Who owns the books I create?
You do, as far as the law allows. EbookMit claims no rights in your books. Be aware that in the United States purely AI-generated material may not be protected by copyright; your own edits, selection and arrangement can be.
Credits and billing
How do credits work?
Each step costs a few credits (an outline, a chapter, an illustration, a cover, a topic search); the exact prices are shown on the pricing page and before every action. Exports are included at no charge.
If a task fails or you cancel it before it starts, its credits are refunded automatically. Credits never expire while your account is open.
What is the difference between a plan and a credit pack?
A plan adds credits every month at a lower price per credit and can be changed or cancelled at any time. Annual plans are billed once a year and still add their credits every month. A credit pack is a one-time top-up for occasional books.
How can I pay, and can I cancel?
By card through Stripe or with PayPal. Cancel from the Billing page whenever you like: card plans stay active until the end of the period you paid for, and credits you already have are kept.
Every payment has a receipt in your account and by email; card payments also include Stripe's invoice.
What happens if a renewal payment fails?
Your plan shows as payment overdue, we email you a link to update the card (or your PayPal funding source), and the payment is retried automatically. Your books and existing credits are never touched; the new month's credits are added once the payment succeeds.
Account and privacy
Who can see my books?
Only you. Books are private to your account, and finished files are downloaded through links that check you own them. We only show a book publicly if it is one of our own examples.
Which AI models are used?
Text and images are generated through the APIs of leading providers (OpenAI, Anthropic and Google Gemini), with a fallback model for every step so a provider outage does not stop your book. Your content is sent to them only to generate your book.
